Oswald Morgan

Chief Culinary & Wine Officer

 Co-Founder of FWS, Oswald is a veteran Restaurateur, Caterer, Chef, Wine Consultant, and Educator. He began his career opening and operating boutique hotel restaurants in New York City. Oswald arrived in Atlanta in 1994, with opening of his namesake – Morgans Supperclub – quickly earning a reputation as “Mr. Hospitality.”

Oswald enjoys the challenge of seamlessly designing, staffing, training, and orchestrating intimate to high-volume restaurants and catering operations. His expertise in various food sectors ranges from fine dining to franchises, re-imaging institutional favorites to a celebrity mogul hot stop, developing award-winning new concepts that are ϋber casual, then his own chic suburban development, and mostly recently elevating the corporate dining scene.

An avid runner, Oswald’s travels have taken him to wine destinations throughout California, France, Chile, Spain, and South Africa in search of new culinary and libation adventures and inspirations. Oswald believes that every meal, no matter the setting, should be an exceptional experience.

Karen Harper

Chief Creative & Wellness Officer

Nutritionist and Certified Integrated Wellness Coach Karen began her career as a consumer trend forecaster, developing and presenting multi-media forecast events to leading designers, manufacturers, and retailers. This expertise enables Karen to bring outstanding ideas, innovations, and techniques to event design, food service information, and operations.

Karen oversees every detail of FWS’s creative strategies, events, Vulcan Test Kitchen management, product development, and menu consultations focusing on healthy – meeting any dietary concern – such as clean, local, organic, biodynamic, and sustainable.

Karen loves the outdoors and enjoys tennis, yoga, swimming, dancing, hiking, and travels to exotic locales for global wellness trends and adventures. Karen believes that every meal, no matter the setting, should be clean, nourishing, and delicious.

Claude Ellis

Executive Corporate Chef

Chef Claude has guided the FWS culinary team for the last five years. He oversees the execution of all FWS catering services and cafe operations.

Before FWS, Chef Claude enjoyed a storied culinary career with names such as Alon’s Bakery to Georgia’s highest-grossing restaurant, the Olde Pink House in Savannah,, which has been recognized nationally with many accolades under his leadership. Chef Claude also led the culinary team for five Damon’s Ribs franchised openings throughout the southeast. His passion for producing food from the earth enriches everything he creates, from pickles, sauces, and soups to elaborate salad stations and exquisite special events.

Fishing is profoundly personal to Claude, who finds it physically and mentally rewarding connecting with nature. Claude believes that food should be celebrated with fresh flavorful ingredients.

 

Vickie Childs

Chief People Officer

Vickie serves FWS as its Human Resource Strategic Partner. After 25 years as an HR Executive for Verizon Wireless, Vickie gained food service expertise as a Subway franchise owner and consulting for several food service operations. Known for ensuring that an organization’s people are happy, safe, and productive, Vickie equally works to support the company’s goals and success.

Integral to FWS leadership, Vickie provides strategies that build upon the company’s goals for expansion while also serving as our employee relations specialist to mitigate risks. Her processes include attracting, selecting, and appointing suitable candidates for the Team with comprehensive and customized hospitality training, developing wellness plans, designing and managing corporate rewards, recognition incentives, and Team-building events.

Vickie loves swimming, cooking, reading, and traveling. During her six years living abroad, Vickie became an unapologetic foodie. Vickie believes every meal, no matter the setting, should be served with knowledge and the highest of hospitality.

Hoyt H. Harper II

Strategic Alliance Advisor

Hoyt serves as FWS’s chief strategist and alliance advisor while consulting for luxury hotels, resorts, vineyards, and other leisure lifestyle brands.

As a former Senior Executive & Global Brand Leader for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Hoyt developed the world’s leading loyalty program, Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG). He solidified dozens of global marketing partnerships with luxury, leisure lifestyle, and travel-related brands.

Featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CNBC, New York Times, Bloomberg, and other numerous global publications, Hoyt is adventurous at work and play. He continues to travel the world for business and as a thrill seeker, using these insights to empower alliances with bold ideas leading to successful outcomes.

A baseball collegiate athlete and all-around outdoorsman, Hoyt’s four sons are challenged with keeping up with his pace. Hoyt believes every meal should be hearty and fun, no matter the setting.
